A number of years ago "ID Magazine," in their annual Design Awards Issue, called attention to GKD's exemplary packaging system. The packaging was a simple, elegant solution to the problem of viewing and handling GKD's stainless steel samples.
The packaging is made of utilitarian, recycled, kraft cardboard, which provides an interesting material and textural contrast to the sleek metal samples. The picture frame-like construction allows the specifier to immediately see the product, as well as to handle it and see how the sample is affected by various permutations of light.
Because we know that designers and architects like to see and feel real samples-it's one of the fun parts of the design process-we're always happy to send you GKD samples, along with anything else you might need to help familiarize you with our products.
Over the years, we're happy to note, our product line has grown to over "thirty different items." We've heard from many of you that you'd like a way to keep your ever expanding library of GKD samples together in an orderly fashion. So we designed a "sample box" that can house over a dozen samples, perfect for your desk or company library, and we'd be happy to send you as many as you need to help you organize your library of GKD metal fabrics.
For those of you not yet on a first hand basis with our product, we've put together a select set containing eight representative products.
Happy looking and feeling!
