In booming Guangzhou city, the recently completed Children’s Palace will be home to 20,000 students. Its not just the size of the school, nor its theater and gardens that make it unusual. This crescent-shaped structure is draped with Escale, a product with the flexibility required to wrap compound curves while still allowing for the transmission of light and air. As a veil drawn over the structure, Escale also hides utilities beneath a silver skin. Clearly a building for the 21st century.
