GKD metal fabrics retain their extraordinary beauty for decades. In most cases, it only takes a little effort to keep it that way. For many interior projects, dusting and light cleaning are all that is required. General inspection of fasteners, hardware and fabric is suggested.

For exterior projects, natural rain removes much of surface oils, salts, chemicals and dust. However, a pressure washing program is desirable. In arid areas, salts and dust in particular should be removed as necessary. Additionally, the large scale veil and daylighting facades, as well as transparent media facades, utilize engineered bracket, bar and spring systems that should be inspected periodically. Some minor adjustments to tension may be required over time.

GKD is dedicated to helping each customer get the most out of our product. Satisfaction is the most important goal. We deliver maintenance assistance in several ways.

• General Maintenance Information - We provide experience based tips and suggestions through our pamphlet, Care and Maintenance which is available from GKD in hard copy or on line.
• Maintenance Service Requests - GKD offers on site service to perform requested inspection, maintenance and cleaning on an as needed basis should the customer desire this service.
• Contract Maintenance - Another program available is to have us do specified maintenance work on a scheduled contract basis. This service is customized to the specific unique project.
• Extended Warranty Service - For large scale and MediaMesh projects, an extended warranty program includes maintenance programs.
• For each project, customers are provided with specifics to help support their own cleaning and maintenance programs. In addition, GKD sales and technical service team members remain accessible to answer questions and to assist in any way.
