The Allen & Jeanette Early Center for Christian Education and Worship, now sitting in the place once occupied by eight levels of library stacks, is nestled within the other spaces, separated by huge metallic screens woven of bronze. This metal fabric - Omega 1520 stainless steel / bronze - provides a warm and dramatic backdrop for the chapel, and works as a balustrade for the balconies. At the same time, the bronze fabric over the many windows provides sun shading by day, and adds shimmery metallic detail to the chapel at night when illuminated by carefully placed lighting.
