  1. Field Service Technician

    Location:
    825 Chesapeake Drive, Cambridge, MD 21613, United States
    Working Hours:
    Monday-Friday 7AM – 3:30 PM; on-call emergency shifts as needed outside of normal working hours
    Base Pay:
    $25 – $30/ Hour
    Employee Type:
    Full Time Hourly Non-Exempt
    Required Degree & Experience:
    High School Diploma with 3 years of welding experience required, welding certification preferred.

    Position Description:
    We are seeking an experienced welder/fabricator for our Field Service Team, responsible for performing on-site installation and repair of GKD metal products at customer locations. This role is ideal for a creative, hands-on individual that thrives on problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

    Main Responsibilities: 

    • Provide on-site installation and/or repair of GKD products at customer locations.
    • Fabricate, weld, and solder architectural and industrial metal products.
    • Fabricate and install pin seams on synthetic process conveyor belts.
    • Operate drills, band saws, hand powered shears, sanders, grinders, various hand tools, and product specific equipment.
    • Assist in other production areas as based on workload and the needs of the company.

    Requirements:

    • 3-5 years of experience in the fabrication and/or servicing of industrial process conveyor belts. Experience in TIG, Plasma, MIG and soldering stainless steel. AWS certification in one or more of the above processes desired.
    • Demonstrated ability to competently use all hand and power tools common to sheet metal and light structural framing fabrication.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and parts lists, and independently fabricate items to all drawing requirements.
    • Must be able to travel for multi-day overnight trips and on-call emergency dispatch.
    • Willingness to abide by all company work and safety policies.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport.
    • Good physical health with ability to climb and work in heavy industrial environments with temperature extremes.
