GKD Receives Honorable Mention in 2018 A|N Best of Products Awards
GKD’s work with Acoustic Mesh Panels has received further industry recognition in the form of an Honorable Mention in the 4th annual Architect’s Newspaper Best of Products Awards.
A jury comprised of design professionals and A|N editors evaluated and scored each award entry. Entries were evaluated for innovation, aesthetics, performance and value. The awards provide a platform for designers and manufacturers to reach an audience of top-tier architects, designers and tastemakers.
Acoustic Mesh Panels were designed to improve workplace and commercial acoustic environments. The panels incorporate a sag-free, one-inch thick honeycomb support plate, layered with an intermediate blanket of fiber-free acoustic fleece. This design dampens noise to a sound absorption value up to aw = 0.9, making them near silent. With a wide array of customization, a .9 NRC, Class A Fire Rating, the option of 8 standard anodized colors and the ability to be painted in a variety of colors, these panels evoke elegance and provide efficient and effective performance as well.
Acoustic Mesh Panels have already helped a variety of spaces manage their sound while providing an extraordinary design, including the Kauffman Center for Performing Arts in Kansas City and Tonhalle Düsseldorf music planetarium in Düsseldorf, Germany.
