DYNAMIC COMMUNICATION
From new construction to retrofit, GKD Mediamesh is installed over any building surface where transparency, scale, and long viewing distances are key specifications. Everything from branding, graphics, video, live broadcasts and conceptual art can be displayed on large format Mediamesh.
SUSTAINABILITY AND TRANSPARENCY
- Transparent media facades consist of stainless-steel mesh with interwoven LED lights
- Unlike conventional LED displays that require complete replacement, building owners only update the LED components as needed while retaining the stainless-steel infrastructure
- More energy efficient than traditional “Times Square” style displays
- With a flexible mesh, Mediamesh conforms to the shape of the structure, curving, wrapping and bending as needed
- Transparency contributes to overall indoor environmental quality by maintaining connections between interior and exterior spaces
SUPERGRAPHICS DISPLAY
- Average installations approximately four times the size of traditional billboards
- Larger format allows a longer and broader viewing range and greater message rotation
- Supports a wide range of media allowing owners to promote advertising and convey real-time conditions, promotions, public safety, news and weather
- Dynamic media presentation will draw attention and transform a building into a media icon
- Available in different versions to suit the design and customers’ needs
TRANSPARENT INNOVATION
The patented system creates a dynamic digital canvas capable of displaying graphics, animation, video content, and real-time data feeds, all while maintaining up to 60% transparency which preserves views from the inside out.
Bluestone and Beckley Travel Plazas | West Virginia
At Bluestone and Beckley Travel Plaza, innovative architectural LED displays share travel and weather information while promoting the state’s natural beauty, standing out among a sea of static billboards. Because the travel plazas were built to serve motorists and truckers traveling I-77, the GKD Mediamesh displays help promote West Virginia’s natural beauty, culture, and art. This state-of-the-art system incorporates graphics into metal fabrics through integrated LEDs, delivering a controlled multimedia display. The strategic positioning of the lightweight, 50% transparent screens maximize exposure to passing traffic, creating a visual experience that captures attention without compromising safety or overwhelming drivers.
Mandeville Art Gallery | University of California San Diego

Designed by prominent architect A. Quincy Jones, the Mandeville Art Gallery, built in 1975, has long been a fixture on the campus of University of California San Diego. UCSD determined an upgrade to the art gallery would help attract outside artists and elevate its presence with students and faculty. San Diego-based Studio E. Architects reimagined the gallery, establishing a design intent that looked beyond campus to create a social hub for the community. They turned to Syska Hennessey Group, experts in art and lighting, for the addition of a large, wrap-around media screen to both draw the eye and provide artistic opportunities. GKD Mediamesh, a patented transparent media façade that consists of integrated LED tubing and robust, stainless steel metal fabric, brought that idea into reality.
NSPYRE Innovation Hub | Syracuse, New York

In 2005, CenterState Corporation for Economic Opportunity, an independent nonprofit economic development strategist, took over an abandoned parking garage and transformed it into the Tech Garden, a business incubator for Central New York. Recently CenterState CEO decided to renovate its facility, rebranding the incubator as the INSPYRE Innovation Hub. The upgrade would allow the facility to better serve its mission as a place where visionaries can “dream, build, and scale.” Designers were tasked with creating a visually striking exterior that would signal the building’s dynamic purpose while respecting the extensive glazing throughout the structure. It needed to make a bold statement without compromising the natural light and openness that characterize modern collaborative workspaces. To accomplish this, the project team turned to GKD Mediamesh, a proprietary transparent LED display technology, for a solution that can honor both form and function.
